When Evan Griffin’s dad visited Las Vegas, he borrowed his son’s GoPro to capture the sights. It was a great idea—the camera would document Sin City’s glitz and glam firsthand, so he if ever wanted to relive the vacation, he’d feel like he was back in Vegas, walking the Strip.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go exactly as planned. Griffin never told his dad how to use his GoPro kit and assumed he could figure it out on his own. Upon returning from his trip, it became overly apparent that technology doesn’t come easy to his dad. As it turns out, his father mistakenly pointed the camera backwards—at himself—during the entire trip. He recorded various angles of his face rather than the Vegas landmarks he had thought he was capturing.
While many might think his dad’s plan was ruined, Griffin saved the footage by editing it into an endearing video titled An Irishman in Vegas. If you’ve ever had a loved one befuddled by new tech, you’ll be able to appreciate his dad’s point of view. Check out the video, below.
