Birds have the one power that  humans cannot possess even if they try. That is to fly. Well only superman can but that’s another story altogether! Bird watching is a fascinating hobby and make for an interesting trip any where watching the habits of different birds anywhere in the world.

Birds of Paradise

Famous for their magistical mating dance, these fascinating birds are Gods unique creation. Birds of paradise are found in eastern Australia and New Guinea.

Po’oul

This is the rarest bird in the world. Discovered  during 1973 in Hawaii, it is one of the rarest  birds . at the moment there are only  3 known Po’ouli  birds in the  world. The program for breeding them is  an ongoing process. But they are on the verge of extinction.

Cassowary

You can find these birds in Australia as well as in New Guinea. While these birds look like a cross  between an ostrich and a turkey, they are extremely beautiful to look at. However, if you ever corner a cassowary or get too close to it, be ready for an attack. These birds are truly aggressive and angry birds!

American kestrel

The American Kestrel is part of the small falcon’s family and it is the most accurate example of how the majestic stature of a predator bird can be also amazingly looking because of its beautiful blue feathers.

Blakiston  Fish Owl

Blakiston fish owl is one of the largest owls in the world. It weighs  4.5 kgs . It is found in the Australia and New Zealand area. It generally feeds on fish but also on small mammals.

The Andean Condor

If you’ve ever been to the zoo, you have probably seen a condor. The Andean Condor is the world’s largest bird. It has a wing span of over 10 feet and weighs over 40lbs. it has the largest wingspan of any land bird. It is found in South America. Unlike other birds of prey the male is larger than the female.

Yellow bellied fantail

It is a tiny bird found in China , Tibet, Myanmar  and  Bhutan .it is approximately 11.5 to 12 cm  long and feeds on small flying insects.

Scarlett  macaw

The Scarlet Macaw is the most spectacular species of parrot as colors are concerned. The national symbol of Honduras, this large parrot is perhaps the one bird companion any home in the world would like to have. Looks like parrots are gorgeous birds .

Painted  Bunting

The Painted Bunting is for sure the most beautifully painted bird in North America. Still only the male is carrying this amazing display of colors that it seems to be his key ingredient in mating rituals. It  is found in  North America. It was a popular cage bird. But now having one in caged possession is illegal.

Peacock

The list would not be complete without the  grandest and most beautiful bird in the world. Maybe the most notorious of the bird world, the peacock is legendary for its amazing feathers he uses in the mating rituals. Being the symbolic pet of Greek Goddess Hera, the bird is exclusively beautiful.

A country’s flag should be something that explains about the country’s customs, traditions or uniqueness. It is an important factor for the country and it should be taken seriously unlike some of the countries which use their flags as an art experiment

Like seriously? Even I could’ve made Libya’s flag because all I had to do was  go to the paint in windows XP and paint the background green -_- . The flag was used between 1977 – 2011. It has been changed now THANKGOD.

What does a bird has to with a country’s flag. A country’s flag should be inspiring and must be representing the country. Clearly a single bird can’t do that.

I think the creator of the Poland’s flag was too lazy to think of something good so he just picked two of his favorite colors and made it the country’s flag :/

Okay, I mean there should be some proper dimensions and balancing when you make a country’s flag. After looking at the Bermuda flag, I had to say this.

you don’t need any kind of a flag to be reminded where exactly in the world do you live. The urine freezing inside your urethra is enough.

Also known as the laziest flag of the world, clearly it can be seen why. Oh I dropped a drop of blood on a white paper, oh wait, its Japan’s flag.

Most Dangerous Path in the World

El Camino Del Rey, El Chorro, Spain

The path was originally constructed in 1905 for workers of a hydro eletric damn set up in the cliffs of El Choro. Since then, the path has deteriorated and is now only for the adventurous. The government of Spain allocated 7 million euros for the restoration of El Camino Del Rey in 2006, however its clear that this has not been spent yet. To get there, catch the train to a town called Alora. Alora is about 12 or 13 km away from El Choro, which is your final destination. 

 There is a train station in El Choro, you can try catch a train directly there, but the trains do not run often. From Alora we took a taxi, I believe there is only 1 taxi, the drives name is Antonia, and if you ask at the local bar outside the Alora train station they’ll call for you. We paid 20€ for the ride, which was likely too much, but we had 5 people so we didn’t mind so much. Antonio will drop you in El Choro at a market which has a flyer for the local climbing shop which is just down the road. Arrange a rough time for Antonio to come pick you up, allow plenty of time to catch your train as he’ll probably have to drive from Alora to come get you. Head down the road, it’s pretty obvious which direction you need to go to find the trail, and you’ll find the climb shop to your right. 

 If you already have a harness, the straps, and carabiners, you can skip this part, or go in and ask any questions you may have. If you plan on renting your harness, be aware they only have 2 for rent, and they may already be rented. You may have to buy your harness as we did, it cost about 65 euros. The shop is run by a German guy who can answer questions, since we had a group of 5 he recomended we climb Alpine style, I’m not a climber so I’m not familiar with it, but I think this is where everyone is connected by a rope to prevent any 1 person from falling. DO GET A HARNESS as no matter how confident you are in your abilities, the path is old and falling apart, and you don’t want to be the sucker who makes the next section crumble.

 Even the cables you latch into are questionable, so don’t fall.

Now that you have your harness, continue walking up the path with the river on your left, its about 15-25 minutes to get to the trail head. You’ll start to see things you recognize, then you’ll catch your first glimpse of the bridge and El Camino Del Rey high up on the cliff.

Red Crab Migration

 At the beginning of the wet season (usually October / November), most adult red crabs suddenly begin a spectacular migration from the forest to the coast to breed. Breeding is usually synchronized island-wide. The rains provide moist overcast conditions for crabs to make their long and difficult journey to the sea.

 During peak migration times, sections of roads where crabs cross in high numbers may be closed to vehicles for short periods of time. You can park your vehicle and carefully walk amongst the moving sea of crabs as they relentlessly make their way to and from the shore.

 The easiest places to watch the crab migration and the females spawn are at Drumsite, Flying Fish Cove, Ethel Beach and Greta Beach.

 Updates on public notice boards and local radio give crab movements during the migration.

 While the rains provide the moist preconditions for the march to begin, the timing of the migration breeding sequence is also linked to the phases of the moon. Eggs are released by the female red crabs into the sea precisely at the turn of the high tide during the last lunar quarter.

 The sea level at the base of the cliffs and on the beaches, where the females release their eggs, at this time varies the least for a longer period, and it is therefore safer for the females approaching the water's edge to release their eggs. Sometimes there are earlier and later migrations of smaller numbers of crabs but all migrations retain this same lunar rhythm.

 Males lead the first wave of the downward migration and are joined by females as they progress. Larger males arrive at the sea first (after about five to seven days) but are soon outnumbered by females. The crabs replenish moisture by dipping in the sea.The males then retreat to the lower terraces to dig burrows. The density of burrows is high (one to two per square metre) and males fight each other for burrow possession. The females move to the terraces and mating occurs. After mating, males dip again and begin returning inland.

The females produce eggs within three days of mating and remain in the moist burrows on the terraces for 12-13 days while they develop. The eggs are held in a brood pouch between their extended abdomen and thorax. A single female can brood up to 100,000 eggs. In the morning and late afternoon around the last quarter of the moon, the egg-laden females descend from the terraces to the shoreline. They pack into shaded areas above the waterline, in densities of up to 100 per square metre in some places. The females usually release their eggs into the sea toward dawn, around the turn of the high tide. Release of eggs may occur on five or six consecutive nights during the main breeding migration.

5. Pareas iwasakii

This tiny but rather large-headed Japanese has one of the most oddly specific diets in the animal kingdom; its asymmetrical jaws are adapted for preying entirely upon snails…so long as their shells spiral clockwise. A once rare mutation is known to produce snails with counter-clockwise shells, and since these provide a greater challenge to the snakes, the “mirrored” snails may be growing steadily more common.
4. Atractaspis

The “stilleto” snake has also been called a “mole viper” and “burrowing asp.” Though highly venomous, it spends most of its time tunneling through soil with little or no room to open its jaws and strike. Instead, it possesses switchblade-like “pop out” fangs, which it hooks into subterranean prey by jerking its head backwards, hooking into their flesh.
3. Scolecophidians

“Blindsnakes” or “threadsnakes” are another group of burrowers, nonvenomous but quite a bit weirder than our last serpent. With eyes covered over by thin scales,tubular worm-like bodies and mouths tucked underneath their heads, these animals are completely adapted to a fossorial (burrowing) lifestyle, and feed primarily on soft subterranean insects such as termites and ant larvae. Some species even possess tiny, movable finger-like sensory growths on their snouts,much like a star-nosed mole.

No list of snakes is complete without the green anaconda, the heaviest alive today and one of the world’s longest predators. While their typical recorded length is up to sixteen feet, reports of anacondas over thirty feet in length have circulated for centuries. Like all constrictors, they wrap their bodies around prey to restrict breathing and kill by asphyxiation, swallowing the prey whole when it finally stops struggling.

1339 Years Old City Under The Lake (RARE)

Chinese National Geographic magazine published a series of exquisite pictures about Shicheng City (literally, Lion City) in February. Shicheng city, nearly 1,339 years of age, situated in east China’s Zhejiang Province, has been submerged under Qiandao Lake since 1959 and the construction of the Xin’an River Hydropower Station.

Shicheng City was named after the Wu Shi Mountain (literally, Five Lion Mountain) in the northern part of Sui’an County, Zhejiang. It was once the center of politics, economics and culture of Sui’an County in that area.

Boo Dog - He has nearly two million fans in Facebook and a book deal. But Boo isn't a reality TV star, actor or a pop singer - he's a pet dog.

The five-year-old Pomeranian has the fame most celebrities dream of after amassing 1.79million fans on social networking site Facebook.

And Boo is also a hit with the ladies. He attracted the attention of Hollywood stars including Khloe Kardashian, who posted a picture of the dog on her blog last year and singer Ke$ha, who Tweeted that Boo was 'her new boyfriend.'

Since then, Boo's Facebook page, launched in 2009, has gone viral, receiving thousands of new fans a day.

His owner, who has concealed her identity and location in the U.S. and uses the pseudonym J.H Lee told Time:'My friends loved looking at pictures of him.

'We started the first Facebook page as a joke.'

Boo shot to fame when he realized the key to looking so good in photographs is a great haircut.

The canine's unique look is down to an happy accident - his long hair was so knotted, it had to be shaved off.

Lee said: 'The groomer said they wouldn't even be able to get a brush through him.

'I was really upset when I heard that. But when I picked him up, I found he was actually really cute that way.'

Boo has been busy promoting his new book, a collection of photographs entitled 'Boo, the life of the world's cutest dog.'

The £8.99 book features exclusive photographs of Boo 'doing all his favorite things, lounging around, playing with friends, exploring the whole wide world, and making those famous puppy-dog eyes.'
