HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013 WISHES

2012 is coming to an end. There were good moments, heartbreaking moments and downright awesome moments. So I gladly bid farewell to 2012 and welcome 2013 !!

Here's wishing you and your family a very happy and prosperous Year 2013 !!!

World Shortest Living Men and Woman

Chandra Bahadur Dangi (54.6 cm), and the world's Shortest Woman, Jyoti Amge (62.8 cm), who met for the first time for the production of the new book.
The historic moment was recorded earlier this year and is the first time in history the shortest male and female in the world have met. Each wore traditional outfits from their native countries and smiled and laughed throughout.
To add scale to the picture, the classic Guinness World Records book - which measures 1ft tall (30cm) - was placed in between them.

Marco Frigatti, Official Guinness World Records Adjudicator, who also took part in the shoot, said: "It was an extraordinary moment; they're both such incredible individuals. Everyone knew this was a special moment, the atmosphere was magical."
The picture and new footage coincides with the recent announcement that the world's Shortest Woman, Jyoti Amge, will visit the UK on the 13th of September to help launch the new Guinness World Records 2013 book.
Jyoti, from Nagpur, India, took the title of Shortest Living Woman when she reached the age of 18 in December last year.
She has a form of dwarfism called Achondroplasia and won't grow any taller than her current height. Due to her size, she has to have clothes and jewellery specially made. She sleeps in a tiny bed and uses special plates and cutlery to eat.  She loves fashion and make-up and is currently pursuing her dream of becoming successful actress in the movie business.  She has already starred in a number of Indian films.
Jyoti said: "Since being recognised by Guinness World Records I have been able to visit lots of different countries. I love travelling. I have visited Japan and parts of Europe and now I can't wait to visit the UK."
In February this year, Chandra Bahadur Dangi from Nepal made headlines across the globe when he was crowned the world's Shortest Man, standing at 54.6 cm (21.5 in).  His size also meant that he inherited the title of Shortest Man in history, breaking the previous record of India's Gul Mohammed (1957-97) who was 57 cm (22.5 in) tall.
Chandra is 72 years old and weighs 14.5 kg (31 lb 15 oz). Until the recent record announcement, he had spent his entire life in the remote Nepalese mountain village of Rhimkholi, about 250 miles west of Kathmandu. He said: "I'm very happy that I'm being recognized by Guinness World Records and that my name will be written in a book.  It's a big thing for my family, my village and my country.  I am very happy."
The latest edition of the world's best-selling copyright book was first published in 1955 and has sold over 120 million copies to date in over 100 countries. For more amazing world records including the latest records in science, nature, sport, entertainment and everything else, check out the new Guinness World Records 2013 Edition available worldwide on Thursday 13th September.

DON'T DRIVE FISHING BOAT TOO FAST (+18 Above Only)

This is an emergency room photo of a fisherman who lost control of his high-speed bass boat in West Virginia. Warden's believe that he was traveling at a speed of approximately 75 mph at the time of the accident. He was unable to negotiate a curve in the narrow waterway. Unfortunately for him, upon striking the shoreline and being ejected from the boat, he landed back end first on an old fence post. You can probably picture what happened next, but the picture really says it all. The good news is that after about 6 months, this man made a full recovery after suffering a shattered hip, broken leg, several broken ribs, internal injuries and soft tissue damage. Doctors credited his recovery to the fact that the post lodged itself so tightly that there was little or no blood loss. Now that's got to hurt!!!

Beautiful Snow Moose 2012

Beautiful Snow Moose - Two Of Them
10-28-09

You probably won't see this again in your life time.
Be sure to show this to you children or grandchildren...

These animals were photographed just north of the Wisconsin border on
a highway near Marenisco , MI.

Once in awhile, there is an opportunity to take in a piece of nature that you may never see.
In these days of unrest and turmoil it is great to see that GOD still produces some wondrous beauty.

The odds of seeing an albino moose are astronomical and to see this in the upper peninsula of
Michigan, near Wisconsin, is even greater than astronomical.

To see two of them together is nearly impossible.

Gaint Sturgeon

This Sturgeon was caught on the Willamette River just below Oregon City two weeks ago.
It weighed out at over 1,000 lbs and measured out at 11'1'. It was 56' around the girth and took over 6 and a half hours, and 4 dozen beers, for the 4 guys taking turns at the reeling it in.
Any Sturgeon OVER about five feet has to be released unharmed and cannot be removed from the water.
They are brood / breeding stock and probably older than most of us.

Smallest Bicycle In The World

You must have seen crazy bicycle riders who perform unbelievable stunts and rough driving over streets or anywhere else, its all about balancing and skills that come from years of experience.

But how about riding a bicycle which can fit in your pocket and whose paddle is 5 times smaller than your feet? you might be thinking of the kind of cycle that one might witness at the circus with a parrot doing acrobats on, but here it is actually being ridden by a Russian adult in full cycling gear.

The small cycle is complete in all respects. It possesses two minute wheels, pedals, handlebar etc, but in size it is not larger than a man's shoe. The cyclist is seen getting on and off the cycle with ease and the animated gif can be witnessed above.

It might looks easy but i am sure it require a skills to ride a bicycle whose paddle is 5 times smaller than your foot isn't it?

After doing so, she gave birth nearly 50 years later to a mummy baby.

mysterious baby mummy

There is a specific term for this called Lithopedion is better known as a stone baby.
It is a rare phenomenon which occurs most commonly when a fetus dies during an abdominal pregnancy, is too large to be reabsorbed by the body, and calcifies on the outside, shielding the mother's body from the dead tissue of the baby and preventing infection.(wiki)

In Zahra case The doctors took out a calcified mass which bared a remarkably resemblance to a mummy. In order to protect itself, the mother’s organism encased the foetus in a calciferous substance so that the immune system does not start a reaction.

Here below picture of another case of 92-year-old woman who delivered a child (albeit not a live baby)

Incan Girl Who Had Been Frozen For 500 Years

Well initially this might look to you like any normal girl being treated by a doctor, the girl in the photo is not any normal living girl but the mummy of a 15 year old child who has been dead for about 500 years.

She was found in 1999 near Llullaillaco's 6739 meter summit. An Argentine-Peruvian expedition found the perfectly preserved body and she was nicknamed "La doncella" which means “The maidenAccording to the Inca she was chosen to go and live with the gods. But in reality she was a sacrifice to the Inca Gods and had been brutally killed in the name of religion.

Scientists say that her organs are intact and its as if she had died just a few weeks ago. From testing the samples of her hair they could determine the type of diet she was on before her death. This lead to the discovery that the Incan fattened their children before killing them. Months or even years before the sacrifice pilgrimage these children were given diets which were those of the elite, consisting of maize and animal proteins.

Judging from the condition of the body, it is believed that she was drugged and left to die in the mountains. It would not have taken much time for her to die due to the high exposure. The Incan high priests took their victims to high mountaintops for sacrifice. As the journey was extremely long and arduous, especially so for the younger victims, coca leaves were fed to them to aid them in their breathing so as to allow them to reach the burial site alive. Upon reaching the burial site, the children were given an intoxicating drink to minimize pain, fear, and resistance, then killed them either by strangulation, a blow to their head or by leaving them to lose consciousness in the extreme cold and die of exposure.

Many Inca children were offered as sacrifice during or after important events, such as the death of the Sapa Inca(who was the emperor) or during a famine. These sacrifices were known as capacocha

Why Only Children?

Children were selected for sacrifice because they were considered to be the purest of beings. They were chosen for their beauty and possibly nobility. According to Inca beliefs such children were to serve as guardians to their villages from the heights of the mountains joining their ancestors and honored in death. The children wore shoes or slippers and dressed in colorful clothing elaborately decorated with medal, bone and cords. More than 100 precious ornaments were found to be buried with these children in the burial site. They were loosely wrapped in shawls and were seated cross legged as they would have fallen asleep after being drugged.

Early colonial Spanish missionaries wrote about this practice but only recently have archaeologists such as Johan Reinhard begun to find the bodies of these victims on Andean mountaintops, naturally mummified due to the freezing temperatures and dry windy mountain air.

There are also some more information about Inca mummies on Wikipedia.

In 1995, the body of an almost entirely frozen young Inca girl, later named Mummy Juanita, was discovered on Mount Ampato. Two more ice-preserved mummies, one girl and one boy, were discovered nearby a short while later. All showed signs of death by a blow to the head.

In 1999, near Llullaillaco's 6739 meter summit, an Argentine-Peruvian expedition found the perfectly preserved bodies of three Inca children, sacrificed approximately 500 years earlier, including a 15-year-old girl, nicknamed "La doncella" (The maiden), a seven-year-old boy, and a six-year-old girl, nicknamed "La niña del rayo" (The lightning girl). The latter's nickname reflects the fact that sometime in the 500 year period the mummy spent on the summit, it was struck by lightning, partially burning the preserved body and some of the ceremonial artifacts left with the mummies.
