World's First Electric Wakeboard

Wakeboarding, a combination of water skiing and surfing, is generally one of those sports that you can’t do just anywhere. It takes a large enough body of water and powerful waves to really have a good time. Luckily, Swedish wakeboarder Philip Werner has solved this problem. He created the Radinn Electric Wakeboard - the world’s first.
The board is composed of lightweight carbon fiber and comes equipped with a silent, efficient, and powerful jet propulsion system. It’s small enough to carry around or to easily transport from your car to the water, and it even includes a handheld remote for configuration and control. You might think that with these features, the Radinn would seem clunky, but that’s not the case. The sleek design means that it doesn't look all that different from a conventional board.
Werner came up with the electric wakeboard while he was studying at Lund University. Today, his team has grown to include people passionate about watersports, engineers, marketing pros, and lawyers. The Radinn is their first product, and the pre-orders are slated to ship out in winter of this year. You can expect to see the product on store shelves after that.
Watch the video below to see the electric wakeboard in action. It looks like a lot of fun!
